What is a driver app?

A driver application is the mobile interface that connects the driver to the operation of his transport business. Where the operator prepares and assigns transport from TMS, the driver receives his mission directly on his phone: he consults his schedule, takes charge of the goods, signs the electronic consignment note (eCMR) upon loading and delivery, and triggers the status update without the slightest call.

The Signal driver application goes further than the simple digital roadmap: photo reservations for loading and unloading, problem reporting, personal document database (license, FIMO, FCO, ADR) and company documents (operating methods, prevention plans). All in a web application that works on mobile, tablet or computer, with nothing to install or update.

The field deserves better than paper and telephone

Printed route sheets, CMR paper that gets lost, calls to find out where the delivery is: on the road, old reflexes cost time, litigation and proof.

The CMR paper gets lost

A stained copy, forgotten in the cabin or never returned to the office, and it is the proof of delivery that is missing on the day of a dispute or unpaid debt.

No visibility on the road

“Is it loaded?” Is it delivered? » The operation calls the driver back, who picks up while driving. No one has the information at the right time.

Reserves are falling by the wayside

A damaged pallet, a delay at the dock: without a simple way to note and photograph the reserve on site, the reason disappears and responsibility becomes impossible to establish.

Everything the driver needs, in one place

An interface designed for the field: few buttons, clear actions, readable at a glance even when moving.

Planning personnel

The driver consults his current and upcoming transports, his assigned missions and the history of his archived transports — without calling operations.

eCMR signed on the phone

Electronic consignment note signed upon loading and delivery, with legal value, time-stamped and geolocated. Available to the driver and partners on site.

Photo reserves

When loading or unloading, the driver adds a reserve and documents it by photo. The proof is attached to the transport, dated and indisputable.

Problem reporting

Breakdown, delay, blocked access, non-compliant goods: the driver reports the incident in a few seconds and operations are notified in real time.

Driver documents

License, FIMO, FCO, ADR card: the driver consults and updates his personal documents from the application, always accessible in the event of an inspection.

Corporate documents

Operating procedures, prevention plans, safety instructions: company documents can be consulted at any time, from anywhere.

App Overview

The application, driver side view

The driver begins his day, takes charge of his mission and signs. Each action advances the status of transport, immediately visible to operations.

The status is reported directly to the operation

The eCMR signed directly on the phone

The electronic consignment note replaces the CMR paper: signed on site, with legal value, and instantly available to all parties.

Signature with legal value

The electronic signature of the shipper, driver and recipient complies with the e-CMR protocol. Each signature is time-stamped, geolocated and associated with the signatory.

Signed by all parties

When loading and unloading, the partner signs directly on the driver's phone. No application for him to install: he signs and it's recorded.

Shareable evidence

The signed eCMR can be consulted and shared at any time — with the customer, the principal or the authorities in the event of a road check.

Status updated on its own

Each signature moves the transport forward: loaded, in progress, delivered. Operation follows progress in real time, without restarting the driver.

All documents, accessible everywhere

No more filing cabinets in the cabin and forgotten copies in the office: the driver consults and updates his documents from his phone.

Driver documents

Viewable and updated by the driver, always at hand in case of an inspection.

  • Driving license
  • FIMO/FCO
  • ADR card (dangerous goods)
  • Chronotachograph driver card

Corporate documents

Distributed by the company, viewable by the driver at any time.

  • Operating modes
  • Prevention plans
  • Safety instructions
  • Loading and unloading protocols

A typical day, with the application

The driver has nothing to learn: he follows the thread of his mission, step by step.

  1. 1

    He receives his mission

The assigned transport appears in its schedule, with the route, merchandise and timetables.

  2. 2

    He charges and signs

When loading, he checks, adds a photo reserve if necessary, and has the eCMR signed by the partner.

  3. 3

    He's rolling, followed live

The status changes to “in progress” automatically. In the event of an unforeseen event, it signals the problem with one gesture.

  4. 4

    He delivers and signs

Upon delivery, the recipient signs the eCMR on the phone. The transport goes “delivered”, ready to invoice.

The same access from a station, practical for sedentary drivers or replacement drivers.

Frequently asked questions about the driver app

Does the driver need to install an app?

No. The Signal driver application is a web application: it opens in the browser of the phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to upload to a store, nothing to update — the driver connects and it's ready.

Does the signature of eCMR have legal value?

Yes. The electronic consignment note (eCMR) signed in the application complies with the e-CMR protocol. Each signature is time-stamped, geolocated and linked to the signatory, which constitutes enforceable proof of takeover and delivery, which can be shared with the authorities in the event of an inspection.

Does the loading or delivery partner need to have the app?

No. The partner signs directly on the driver's phone. He does not have to install anything or create an account: he consults the eCMR, sign, and the proof is recorded and timestamped.

How does the driver add a reserve?

When loading or unloading, the driver adds a reserve in a few seconds and can document it by photo. The reserve is attached to the transport, dated, and remains consultable by the operation and the parties concerned.

What documents can the driver consult?

His personal documents (license, FIMO, FCO, ADR card) which he can consult and update, as well as company documents distributed by the employer (operating methods, prevention plans, safety instructions), which can be consulted at any time.

Does operations see progress in real time?

Yes. Each action of the driver — pick-up, signature on loading, signature on delivery — automatically advances the transport status. Operation follows progress live, without having to call the driver back.
